PORQUÊ PÔPA?
The story of Quinta do Pôpa began with the dream of Francisco Ferreira (known as Pôpa), the bastard son of a great Douro wine producer, and his maid, Joaquina Ferreira. A generation later, his son José Ferreira (Zeca do Pôpa) made it come true by buying part of Quinta do Vidiedo, located in Adorigo, Tabuaço, in the heart of the Douro Wine Region. In homage to his father, he changed the name of the property to Quinta do Pôpa.
